We heard nothing but good about Sweet Mary’s, but when we went everything was GREAT. The staff is fast and fun and bright, sometimes with funny comments or sharp observations. The food is fresh and delicious and sometimes deliciously woke! Very welcoming atmosphere and every food item tastes like good vibes!

We stopped into Sweet Mary’s for the first time yesterday and liked it so much that we already stopped by again today! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and I’m pretty sure we’ve tried almost one of everything at this point (though we still have to catch the cruffins next time!). Everything has been delicious, and they absolutely nail both the flavors and textures. The frosted sugar cookies and macarons were excellent, and the elote croissant was incredibly flavorful (that one should be a permanent staple). The Banana Stand macaron was another definite highlight. The crullers and cinnamon roll were both fantastic, and they also have a lot of gluten-free options, which was great to see. The gluten-free coffee cake and quiches were both delicious. We still have a few things waiting to be tried, including the s’mores cheesecake and cheddar bacon biscuit, but based on everything so far, I’m already looking forward to digging into those tomorrow. Awesome local bakery, great people, and seriously good pastries. My sweet tooth is pleased. We’ll definitely be regulars!

Top 1% of all Google reviewers traveling the country coast to coast and this is by far some of the best bakery you're ever going to have You're in America. Everything tasted like it was made from scratch with high quality ingredients. A bagel and a biscuit and a slice of cheesecake for $15 and worth it.

I just stopped for the first time after traveling down from Cleveland, and I am so happy with my purchases! The buffalo chicken handpie is out of this world.. has the most amazing flakey and perfectly baked crust and the proportion of filling to crust is perfect. I also got some sugar cookies that were delicious. I love that the icing isn’t sickeningly sweet, just perfectly balanced. Lastly, as it’s Mardi Gras season, I got four paçkzis. Two lemon, a vanilla, and an apricot. I can’t recommend them enough. It’s worth the drive!

This bakery has been one of my absolute favorites during my six-month stay in Akron! I loved it so much that I went three times a week! I honestly wish I could have gone even more often. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and every single item was delicious but the vanilla cruller is hands-down my favorite! The staff are incredibly kind, and they serve the best crullers in the world. Thanks to this place, my time in Akron was even sweeter. I highly recommend it! If I ever come back to Akron, this will be one of my first stops!!! no question. + October 15, 2025 After finishing my internship in Akron, I went back to Korea and now I finally came back to visit again after 5 months! Visiting Sweet Mary’s is always one of my must-dos whenever I’m in town🥹 My favorite (and super sweet!) staff recognized me right away! She always called me sweetheart, and still does!💛 The cruller is still absolutely delicious, and I’ll definitely come back a few more times before I leave!
